On arriving at Fordoun Hotel & Spa, it almost felt like I was being welcomed by the two rows of oak trees you drive through as you make your way down the driveway. I was received with such honest gladness that I was there . . . the staff at Fordoun are genuinely happy to see their guests and serve them . . . nothing is too much to ask. My suite had everything I wanted and more. The suite lead out onto a private patio overlooking the lawns and dam in the distance, creating the perfect setting for me to unwind from a busy week. In addition to the country décor, beauty and comforts of the suite, the finer details were all considered. From the beautiful pen and writing pad, wide variety of coffee and teas, under floor heating, all the way to the delicious nougat, body butter, slippers and local bedtime story supplied with the evening turn down. My supper was nothing short of an experience that can only be described as the finest of fine dining. The potato and leek soup was prepared to perfection. The slow roasted Pork Belly with mustard potato puree, apple and apple chutney and rosemary cream was beyond scrumptious . . . After a very peaceful sleep, I was treated to a Swedish Full Body Massage and Pedicure . . . an absolutely ‘out of this world’ experience. I was blown away with how Andile, my therapist, worked her hands and arms to decadently ease away every bit of tension in my muscles and leave me feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Leaving Fordoun Hotel and Spa, I knew I would definitely be back. If you are looking for a perfect romantic or relaxing getaway, Fordoun is a must! You will also understand first hand why Fordoun is rated a 5 star venue and spa . . . it definitely lives up to it!

The Special Offer booking can be rescheduled if you notify us of the change 7 full days before your booking date.
Your booking cannot be changed within 6 or less full days before your booking date.

La Vue endeavors to ensure that the highest standards are adhered to in the preparation of our foods for human consumption. This includes, ensuring that our staff who prepare our food are tidy and clean at all times.
NB Should you miss the dinner seating your dinner booking will be forfeited.
We are open to receiving any legitimate / honest consumer complaints from our customers subject to the following:
- The customer must read the Menu to ascertain whether or not any product/s contains any ingredients which the customer is allergic to. The customer agrees that the business cannot be held liable for any harm caused as a result of his/her failure to read the Menu, prior to ordering / purchasing the goods.
- The customer who is seated at La Vue’s Restaurant shall immediately inform the business/seller/waiter about any product that has been found to be harmful or defective or wanting in any other respect.
Subject to the Consumer Protection Act and or any other legislation, the business shall remedy the situation where any product is found to be harmful or defective or wanting in any other respect, in any of the following ways:
- A cash refund to the customer;
- Substituting the defective/damaged goods for new goods; or
- Any other appropriate and mutually agreed manner.
La Vue shall not be liable for the death of, or bodily injury to your agents, guests, subcontractors (or their employees) or any persons visiting the allocated venue (whether or not such persons do so on behalf of, at the invitation of or at your request) where such loss, damage, death or injury occurs within the venue or in any part of boat and was not occasioned by any recklessness or negligence of La Vue.
Please note that La Vue will at all times endeavour to sail, however should the weather conditions not be conducive or safe to do so, the vessel will remain at the mooring, and all guests will be entitled to a complementary cruise at a date of their convenience subject to La Vue’s availability.
It is the passenger/customer’s responsibility to notify La Vue, management or staff members about any allergens and /special dietary needs and/or foods that s/he and/or their guests are allergic to.
